We update our wholesale gas and electricity price projections, once a quarter, for individual countries throughout Europe. Our latest projections were produced in July 2010 and the next update will be in October 2010. We also offer a quarterly projections update service to clients when they purchase one of our electricity reports. The update service covers the same country or group of countries, and the same commodity, as the report purchased; and consists of a short note and Excel file summarising the revised assumptions and revised prices.

Econ Pöyry complements Pöyry Oxford through an extensive understanding of the Scandinavian power market, therein having developed comprehensive modelling tools for hydropower markets. As a consequence of having developed models with many similarities, Econ Pöyry and Oxford ensure that they use the same assumptions for inputs which are common across their models, and between them they synchronise the updating of these inputs, the models and the resulting projections. To the extent that they overlap, with the same input the Econ Pöyry and Oxford models give essentially the same results.
